Margaret Warren\u2019s journey to Regional Director<\/strong> is a powerful example of what can happen when you back yourself, commit to the process and keep showing up, even when results don\u2019t come immediately. But Margaret\u2019s Conxxion journey didn\u2019t begin with a grand business plan.<\/p>\n

Before Conxxion, Margaret spent 22 years as a registered nurse<\/strong>, before completing an MBA and moving into a career with the Commonwealth Government in Canberra, where she managed major projects including the Australian War Memorial and the National Museum. Today, she also runs a traditional business helping seniors relocate into retirement living.<\/p>\n

So when Tony and Annie Burns first introduced Margaret to Conxxion, she wasn\u2019t looking for another business. She was initially interested in the services and the opportunity to explore whether Conxxion could add value for her household<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d lost my husband just a bit earlier than that,\u201d Margaret explains. \u201cTony and Annie sat me down and said, \u2018We\u2019ve got something that we think you should have a look at.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Tony and Annie took the time to sit with Margaret on her patio, glass of wine in hand, and talk her through the services and business opportunity. She understood the opportunity. But that didn\u2019t mean she was ready to build it.<\/p>\n

The Four Month Wait<\/strong><\/h3>\n

For almost four months, Margaret simply used the services and paid her bills. Then Tony and Annie convinced her to attend a major Conxxion event in Sydney. What happened next changed everything. Margaret remembers sitting in the crowd, watching people celebrate their achievements, jumping up and down, clapping and cheering.<\/p>\n

\u201cI looked at Tony and I said, \u2018What are these people on?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

His response?<\/p>\n

\u201cMargaret, just wait.\u201d<\/p>\n

By lunchtime, Margaret was jumping up and down with everyone else.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was awesome. It was like it was contagious. It really was.\u201d<\/p>\n

But it wasn\u2019t just the energy of the event that changed her perspective. Margaret watched people walk across the stage and started to see herself in their stories.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they can do it, why can\u2019t I? They\u2019re no different to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seeing other nurses being recognised particularly resonated with her. For the first time, Margaret could genuinely picture herself achieving the same thing. She returned home to Brisbane on the Sunday and decided to get serious.<\/p>\n

\u201cI decided then and there I could do it, so I came back to Brisbane on the Sunday and, yes, I got stuck in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turning Consistency Into Results<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Margaret quickly discovered that getting stuck in didn\u2019t mean everything came naturally. One of her biggest challenges was something surprisingly simple: asking for help<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never known how to ask for help. Never ever. It doesn\u2019t sit well with me asking people for favours. I\u2019m a helper, not a giver.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asking customers for referrals was particularly uncomfortable. But rather than allowing that discomfort to stop her, Margaret found another way to keep moving. She kept talking to people. She kept starting conversations about the business. And when someone was interested, she connected them with people like Tony and Annie who could help explain the opportunity. Over time, Margaret became more confident with following up, asking for referrals and having conversations about the opportunity to build additional income.<\/p>\n

Her philosophy is simple:<\/p>\n

That consistency has extended beyond her own business. Margaret has made training and personal development a priority, attending as many Conxxion events as possible and leading from the front. Building a Conxxion Family<\/strong><\/h3>\n

For Margaret, one of the most rewarding parts of reaching Regional Director has been the relationships she has developed. She has learned that leadership is about being available, providing support and helping others achieve ambitions of their own.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have developed a deep relationship with so many and now have a fantastic Conxxion family.\u201d<\/p>\n

That sense of connection has become an important part of the business Margaret is building, one based on relationships, support and helping people believe they can achieve more. Her advice to anyone working towards their own goals is not to let a \u201cno\u201d stop you.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t give up after the first negative responses. Keep following up and offering assistance.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s advice that reflects her own journey. Margaret didn\u2019t have everything figured out when she started. She didn\u2019t immediately become confident asking for referrals. And she certainly didn\u2019t jump into action from day one.<\/p>\n

What she did was keep moving.<\/p>\n

One conversation at a time.
\nOne follow-up at a time.
\nOne event at a time.<\/p>\n

And those small, consistent actions have added up.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Next?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Achieving Regional Director is a significant milestone, but for Margaret, it\u2019s another step in the journey. Her focus now is to build greater depth within her team, support her IBOs to achieve their own goals and continue developing the business she has worked so hard to build.<\/p>\n

And there\u2019s another goal on the horizon: qualifying for next year\u2019s company trip.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Margaret\u2019s journey is proof that you don\u2019t need to have everything figured out before you begin.<\/p>\n

And Margaret\u2019s advice to anyone considering starting their own Conxxion journey?<\/p>\n

  2. You don\u2019t need to know exactly where the journey will take you.<\/li>\n
  3. Sometimes, you simply need to take the next step.<\/li>\n
  4. Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep having the conversations. Keep supporting your team.<\/li>\n
  5. Consistent action creates momentum, and momentum creates results.<\/li>\n
  6. Don\u2019t question yourself.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
