nbn™

ACN nbn™ broadband only and bundled broadband and phone services (“ACN nbn™ Services”) are supplied to customers in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the ACN Standard Form of Agreement and the ACN Acceptable Use Policy (www.acnpacific.com/customer-agreements-tariffs). ACN nbn™ services and offers are only available to credit approved customers.

ACN’s nbn™ services are offered as residential grade (best effort) services. This means that if you require Internet access in your home or small business location to access online banking, surf the Internet, download content, send and receive email etc., then the ACN products will more than satisfy your needs. ACN does not offer commercial or business grade nbn™ services that include but are not limited to fixed IP addresses, the use of your own domain name, 24x7 technical support or guaranteed bandwidth, speed or data throughput.

Equipment requirements: An ACN nbn™ service requires an ACN supplied nbn™ compatible modem or router at your address to function correctly and requires a mains power connection to operate the service.

nbn™ Broadband speeds: The actual line speed for an nbn™ service will vary due to many different factors including but not limited to, your nbn™ access technology, device(s) being used, number of users, the type and source of content you access and the Wi-Fi performance achievable in your home or office. Line speeds are not applicable where your service has been slowed/speed limited ('shaped') on an ACN nbn™ service with a monthly data quota. ACN does not offer the nbn™ 100 speed tier on nbn™ Fibre to the Node, Fibre to the Basement or Fixed Wireless connections. Availability of ACN speed tiers is subject to confirmation of the actual line speed of your service after activation. Please see our Understanding the nbn™ speeds page for more information.

Data usage will be accrued in bytes (B) where 1KB = 1000B, 1MB = 1000KB and 1GB = 1000MB and includes both uploads and downloads. Peak and off peak usage is accrued separately. Any remaining data will not roll over to the following month and is not transferable. ACN will send notification emails to the email address you nominated for your ACN nbn™ service when you consume 50%, 85% and 100% of your plan’s data allowance.

Once the allocated monthly data limit for your plan has been reached, the service speed will be shaped to 128kbps. If your service speed is shaped, you may elect to purchase an additional data pack via our online customer service tool, MyAccount. MyAccount allows you to view the amount of data that you have used during your current billing cycle, change your plan or top up your data allowance by purchasing a data pack. This additional data allowance will expire at the end of your next bill cycle and may take up to an hour to take effect.

nbn™ appointments: If you are connecting to the nbn™ for the first time you may require an nbn™ technician to attend your home or office to activate your ACN nbn™ service. If your address requires an nbn™ technician appointment we will let you know via email and SMS. You will need to ensure someone over the age of 18 is present at the time to provide access to your home or office. If your home or office is in a building, you should ensure that someone is present to provide access to the building communications cabinet or basement.

If you need to reschedule an nbn™ appointment time you will need to contact ACN at least three business day prior to your scheduled appointment date to avoid incurring a $220 rescheduling fee. This fee will also be applied if you or someone over the age of 18 is not present for your scheduled technician appointment.

New development charge: An additional one off $300 “New Development charge” will be applied by nbn™ if your address is identified by NBN Co as being within the site boundary of a new development. You can find more information on this charge and when it applies here.

6 month setup fee promotion :  ACN Pacific is offering customers who sign up to a Basic, Value, Value Bundle or Ultimate Bundle plan, a promotional upfront setup fee offer of $99.95 when they order with a 6 month contract term. This promotional offer ends 30/06/19. For new ACN nbn broadband customers only.

$5 off monthly access fee promotion: ACN Pacific is offering customers who sign up to a Basic, Value Bundle or Ultimate Bundle, a promotional offer of a discount of $5 when they place an order before 30 April 2019. Customers signing up to the $70, $80, $90 plans will receive $5 off monthly plan fee for life of the plan.

*Factors that could affect your nbn™ connection speeds

The download speed of an nbn™ service will vary due to many different factors including but not limited to, your nbn™ access technology, device(s) being used, number of users, the type and source of content you access and the WiFi performance achievable in  your home or office. Connection speeds FTTN, FTTB and FTTC services can also be limited during the Coexistence Period and as a result will generally provide slower download and upload speeds.

Upgrading and downgrading your speed tier

You can upgrade or downgrade your speed tier via MyAccount. You may only change your speed tier once per billing cycle.

Your upgraded speed tier will be applied within 2 business days of submission through MyAccount. Your new speed tier will be billed in advance from your next bill cycle date.

You may downgrade your speed tier to the lowest speed offered on your plan. Your downgraded speed will commence upon your next billing cycle date. You may only downgrade your speed tier twice during a 12 month period.

You can add ACN Companion to your ACN nbn™ bundle plans – an app which allows you to extend the benefits of your nbn™ bundle call inclusions (including unlimited calls) to your mobile. A second device can be added for only $5.00 per month.

Please note ACN Companion is not a fixed line replacement service and certain call types may not be available including ‘000’ calls. Our Premium Wi-Fi modem has an in-built phone adaptor if you require a replacement fixed line service.

ACN’s Digital Phone Service (via ACN Companion or the ACN Phone Adaptor) is not suitable if you are a customer with a serious illness or life threatening condition, if you require disability services, if you have a back-to-base home alarm system or if you require an uninterrupted phone line.

ACN nbn™ Contract Terms

ACN offers two contract terms to suit your needs:

ACN Pacific is offering customers who sign up to an ACN Value Broadband, ACN Value Bundle or ACN Ultimate Bundle plan from 10 March 2018, an upgrade of their broadband speed tier to the nbn™ 50 speed tier for a 12 month period for no additional charge.

This offer is not available on nbn™ Fixed Wireless services and is subject to confirmation of the actual nbn™ line speed capability, once a service is activated. At the end of the 12 month period, customers will be automatically downgraded to the nbn™ 25 speed tier. Customers can maintain the nbn™ 50 speed tier by requesting a speed upgrade via MyAccount.

The nbn™ 50 promotion offer ends 31 October 2018.

Important Upfront Payment Terms

A one-off setup fee of $99.95 applies to customers ordering any plan with a 6-month contract term. The one-off setup fee is charged upfront to your credit or debit card as part of your order submission.

Ten day cooling off period applies. If you cancel your order within 10 days of your order submission date, we will refund any upfront payment of a setup fee provided you return all equipment we provided, to us, in un-opened and un-used state.

If you cancel your order more than 10 days after your order submission date and we have not yet commenced the installation of your service, we will refund any upfront payment of a setup fee provided you return all equipment we provided, to us, in un-opened and un-used state.

If you cancel your order more than ten days after your order submission date and we have either commenced or completed the installation of your service, we will retain a cancellation fee of $50 and refund the remainder of your setup fee, provided you return all equipment we provide, to us, in an un-opened and un-used state.

No refund will be provided for an upfront payment of a setup fee where you do not return all equipment in an un-opened and un-used state. If you require a return satchel to return the equipment, you can request one by contacting our customer service team when cancelling your order.

Earning Statement

RVPs and SVPs (including Circle of Champions members) earn annual income achieved by fewer than 1% of ACN IBOs. Their success stories and earnings are extraordinary and not typical. Earnings as an ACN IBO are based solely upon the successful sale of products to customers and their usage of those products. Individuals will incur expenses in operating their ACN business, such as the sign-up fee and renewal fee, as well as other possible operating expenses. As with any business, earnings and success at ACN are not guaranteed but depend primarily on the individual’s commitment, persistence and effort. Individuals may not earn income and may lose money as an IBO.
