How long will it take to set up nbn™ at my premises?
The time frame for nbn™ installation can vary, depending on a number of factors including:
- What work nbn™ has already done at your property before connection
- The type of nbn™ technology being installed
- The availability of nbn™ installers to perform the installations
Not all nbn™ installations will require an appointment, if an installer will require you to be in attendance we will provide you notice in advance of any appointment scheduled.
Connection time frames vary by area, service class and infrastructure. New connections can take up to 4 to 6 weeks. Premises which are nbn™ ready and do not require a technician visit can be connected in 5 to 10 days.

On the day of your appointment:
If your premises already has fibre-optic cable connected to a nbn™ Network Termination Device (NTD), standard installations normally take between approximately 2 and 4 hours. If your premises do not have the fibre optic cable connected then a standard installation could take between 4 and 8 hours.
